Whereas we live surrounded by plastic, we remain ignorant of its toxicity. We use it in our everyday lives to store food, bottle water, do the shopping, etc., without considering its devastating impact on both nature and our health.
What can we do about it? Yurena González has lived a plastic-free eco-life for years without generating waste nor compromising even an ounce of her comfort. How did she do it?
In Better without plastic the author dismantles some myths and shows that, contrary to popular belief, living a sustainable lifestyle does not mean that we must devote our resources to try and save the planet. In fact, what it allows us to do is to detach ourselves from superfluous things and simplify our lives, so that we can have more time and money to enjoy what really matters.
Yurena González is married, has two children, and is a graphic designer, web developer and content manager. She was born and raised in La Palma and Tenerife and has lived in Barcelona since 2004.
Her life took a turn in 2016 when she decided to lead a sustainable and environment-friendly lifestyle, becoming one of her top priorities and greatest passions.
She is currently an environmental promoter, activist, lecturer and author of EcoBlog Nonoa. In her blog and social networks, she shares her own transition towards a more conscious way of life and offers simple and useful tools to those people who want to change their habits and transform their way of life. Using her own experience, Yurena shows how everyone can make a difference with only small changes.
